For our new office to be opened in eastern Finland, we are looking for experienced:
Would you like to help set up our new Wagenborg office in eastern Finland? Are you customer-oriented? And do you want to use your knowledge and experience to arrange all kinds of things for ships that enter the ports on Lake Saimaa and Kotka/Hamina? Then we have an interesting challenge for you.
What will you be doing?
You are the link between shore and ship. In short, you arrange everything for ships that enter the above-mentioned ports, of course in consultation with the ship. A good network and a good relationship with suppliers and all involved stakeholders are very important. It is also important that you keep an overview, set good priorities and, despite the pressure, continue to work accurately. You have a lot of contact with people of different nationalities, so English is the primary language.
Because customs declarations are also part of this job it is crucial that you work precisely and on time. You put incoming invoices in the system and ensure that the administration department has all the information to prepare invoices for our customers. Shipping is a 24/7 business, which means that the task will also include on-call duty during evenings and weekends.
Maico Bakker, shipping agent Wagenborg Delfzijl, the Netherlands
“We really arrange everything for ships and crew. The work is very varied and unpredictable. I like that hectic pace. We also get a lot of freedom in our work.”
